Not a holiday, observance, or special occasion goes unheralded at Devonshire at PGA National, Erickson Living’s life care retirement community in Palm Beach Gardens.

Every month, Activities Coordinator Irene Malanga hosts a lively birthday luncheon, and several times a year, she hosts separate men’s and women’s luncheons.

Patriotic holidays feature colorful decorations, guest vocalists, sing-alongs, and upscale picnic food like lobster tails.

On more solemn occasions such as Veterans Day, Devonshire inspires residents’ love of country by presenting a patriotic program that also acknowledges their neighbors’ military service.

For the December holidays, Malanga, her staff, and Devonshire’s maintenance crew bedeck the community’s 65,000-square-foot clubhouse in holiday finery.

From Devonshire’s elegant entrance lobby to its beautifully appointed living room and up its impressive grand staircase, the décor creates an enchanting and festive atmosphere for residents and visitors.

And in the second-floor gathering space stands the holiday tree that’s become a tradition at Devonshire. Decorated with residents’ help and festooned with some of their own ornaments, the tree triggers memories of holidays past and present.
