Wind Crest’s new 230-seat Arts and Enrichment Center hosted its grand opening performance, world-class father-son piano duo Simon and Son, on November 16. Peter and Saling Simon treated audience members to a heartwarming evening of popular and classical music.

“The opening performance was a hit,” says Community Resources Manager Craig Ellsworth, who has been anticipating this new venue for some time.

Comfortable theater seating, state-of-the-art acoustics, and a large screen streaming the performance gave all audience members a front-row experience.

Valuable venue

Ellsworth says the center will host many more performances and be a valuable community space for those who live at Wind Crest.

The Arts and Enrichment Center also houses the community’s TV studio, where residents are now able to assist in television show production—a staple at other Erickson Living communities.

“The TV studio allows us to do live broadcasts to the entire community of events happening in the Arts and Enrichment Center,” Ellsworth says. “It’s also an opportunity for better communication with our residents.”
