On Dec. 12, 2015, Frank Sinatra would have turned 100 years old. To salute “Ol’ Blue Eyes,” neighbors at Fox Run danced to “New York, New York” in what was quite possibly Michigan’s largest ever retiree kick line.

The kick line took place at a lively event on Nov. 20 a couple of weeks in advance of Sinatra’s birthday. Sinatra vocalist/impersonator Gary Sacco performed at the festive dance party, and attendees enjoyed a toast with Jack Daniels, Sinatra’s favorite drink.

The dance party was part of a month-long tribute to Sinatra at Fox Run. The community’s so-called “Fridays With Frank” featured interactive events, including storytelling sessions, movies, a piano performance, a trivia contest, and a special celebration at the pub.
