The sales office at Eagle’s Trace has been abuzz with activity ever since the West Houston community announced the construction of a new residence building.

Amarillo Terrace, scheduled to open in fall 2016, will feature 108 apartments in 17 new floor plans inspired by customer feedback, beautiful outdoor spaces overlooking the lake, a full-service restaurant, fitness center, theater room, and a multipurpose activity space.

“Currently, over 70% of the new apartments have been reserved by our priority list members,” says Sales Director Pam Burgeson. “We’ve had a steady stream of prospective residents visiting our community.”

Increased traffic at Eagle’s Trace is keeping one group of residents especially busy. Ambassadors are resident volunteers who greet visitors, show them around the community, and answer any questions.

“Our residents are the best resource when it comes to sharing the Erickson Living lifestyle,” says Burgeson. “It’s a tremendous asset to have our ambassadors interacting with prospective residents.”

‘Want to help’

Ann Foster moved to Eagle’s Trace when it opened in 2005. She volunteered to be an ambassador because she wanted to spread the word about the community.

“I love living at Eagle’s Trace and want to help others who are thinking of moving here,” she says.

Ann says the questions she gets from prospective residents run the gamut from financial considerations to concerns about whether they can sell their home.

“When you’re considering a major move, I think it’s helpful to talk with someone who’s already walked that path,” says Ann. “I can also point them to resources available to assist in making a move.”

Erickson Realty and Moving Services is a program open to all priority list members—people who have made a fully refundable $1,000 deposit to reserve their place in line for the apartment home of their choice.

Haven Benoit, personal moving consultant at Eagle’s Trace, is part of the Erickson Realty and Moving Services network. She offers complimentary coordination of all real estate and moving needs, including downsizing, packing, home staging, and referrals to real estate professionals.

“When you decide to move to Eagle’s Trace, there are people in place to help you,” says Ann.

Forging friendships

Priority list members also receive exclusive invitations to events at the community where they have the opportunity to interact with resident ambassadors.

“One couple came up to me at a recent party and told me they’re moving to Eagle’s Trace,” says Ann. “I was one of the first people to talk with them when they initially visited the community. It’s a neat way to get to know new neighbors.”
