A brand new year is the best time to start planning for a bright new future. As you consider your 2016 priorities, put an upcoming move to an Erickson Living community at the top of your list! 

Here are three resolutions that will get you on track:

Join the priority list. If you aren’t already on the priority list, now is the time to sign up. As a member, you can choose the size and style of apartment home you’re most interested in and provide a time frame for when you think you’ll be ready to move. Our sales staff will alert you when apartment homes that match your specifications become available. 

If you don’t want to reserve the floor plan that’s offered to you, we’ll simply call the next person on the list. But when you are ready to move, you’ll have the opportunity to claim your ideal apartment home before nonmembers. It’s the perfect, no-pressure way to secure your future at the community.

Schedule a home visit with your personal moving consultant. As a member of the sales team, your personal moving consultant is a fantastic resource. Once you join the priority list, she’ll come to your home to chat about your needs and help you map out a game plan for the future—even if you don’t have a specific apartment reserved. She can also help you get a head start on downsizing by working with you to determine what furniture and keepsakes to take to your new home and what to donate, discard, or pass along to family members.

Start interviewing real estate agents and movers. Once your personal moving consultant gets to know you, she’ll be able to recommend professionals who match your specific needs. She’ll introduce you to real estate agents who can sell your house quickly and for a good price. She’ll also suggest moving and packing companies early in the process so you can get an idea of their costs and availability. By taking these steps now, you’ll be in great shape when moving day rolls around!
