The Ann’s Choice sales office gained an additional sales counselor this April when Amanda Brown joined Sales Counselor Marie Dmoch and the team due to the growing demand from people interested in moving to this popular Erickson Living community in Bucks County, Pa.

Home to 2,100 residents, Ann’s Choice enjoys such an excellent reputation that people meet with sales staff every day to learn about the activities and amenities it provides and to tour the beautiful 103-acre campus and its three clubhouses.

Making transitions

While Brown brings several years of credentials as an eastern region sales representative to her new position, Ann’s Choice visitors will connect more to her life experiences.

Her father’s career as a corporate sales executive entailed a number of company transfers and family moves. Brown lived first in Pittsburgh, then in Hudson, Ohio; Naperville, Ill.; Worthington, Ohio; and finally Philadelphia. Now she lives in Montgomery County, Pa.

As a result, she knows what it’s like to pull up roots, move to a new place, and make new friends. She can relate to prospective residents who have qualms about moving from a house they’ve lived in for decades.

Equally important, her parents are themselves considering such a move. Now, thanks to her new position, “I can tell my mom that her reluctance is normal and her independence would actually increase with a move.”

Exceptional model

Before she applied to an online posting for the sales counselor position at Ann’s Choice, Brown researched Erickson Living. “What I learned about its history resonated with me,” she says. “It was started to make senior housing affordable for middle-income seniors and to provide the highest quality of life in an ingenious way.”

She’s referring specifically to the fee-for-service model of continuing care at Ann’s Choice: Community members who don’t need additional care don’t pay for it. For those who do, the continuing care neighborhood at Ann’s Choice is right on campus.

Ann’s Choice also boasts a rich array of on-site amenities, including five restaurants and a medical center staffed by full-time physicians who treat only the people who live at Ann’s Choice.

Initially impressed by the community’s beautiful grounds and interior décor, what struck Brown most was the exceptional friendliness, helpfulness, and upbeat attitude of its staff.

“And when I go on tours, I see people who are so happy here that they’re eager to provide off-the-cuff testimonials of how much they love Ann’s Choice.”

Brown, who lives in Lansdale, has two children—a son in Philadelphia and a daughter in Colorado. A classically trained pianist, she enjoys playing the piano, gardening, power walking, and spending time with family and friends.
