Don’t let the name “sales center” fool you! You won’t be “sold to” at the new Erickson Living sales center in Matthews, N.C. But you will be wowed!

In honor of Erickson Living’s first community in North Carolina, Windsor Run, the new sales center is the first of its kind for the company—a permanent, stand-alone sales center that provides up-to-date information on the sought-after community.

“Walking through the doors is like walking into the home of a good friend,” says Windsor Run Sales Counselor Sara Foley. “It’s a place designed to make you feel comfortable, at ease, and welcome.”

There is no sales pitch, no pressure to make decisions, just a team of dedicated senior living professionals ready to answer the important and unique questions posed by each guest.

Warm welcome

With an office located by the front door, Event Specialist Amanda Bates is often the first smiling face to greet guests to the sales center.

“It’s always a pleasure to meet and greet each individual who visits our sales center,” she says. “My first goal is to make everyone feel welcome by offering them something to drink and a seat in our beautiful lobby.”

The heart, or lobby of the sales center, is designed to look like a bright and sunny living room, complete with generously stuffed couches and chairs. Above the fireplace is a large-screen television featuring testimonials from Erickson Living residents across the country.

Beyond the living room is a model of Windsor Run’s kitchen design. Filled with stainless steel appliances and decorated with traditional southern charm, guests are encouraged to peruse the details and explore the many options Windsor Run will offer in its various apartment designs.

The choice is yours

First-time guests to the Windsor Run sales center often chose to take their time and explore the numerous opportunities provided to learn more about the community. With offices right off the main lobby, Sales Associates Mindi Thinnes and Matthew Mooney lead guests on a tour of the sales center, lingering on the areas that offer the most interest.

“The best part is that we don’t bring anyone on a predetermined tour,” says Mooney. “Some guests choose to linger in our design center where they can explore the various options available when choosing a Windsor Run home, such as cabinet finishes and countertops. Others enjoy using our virtual tours of the various apartment floor plans. And almost everyone enjoys taking some time to linger out on our back observation terrace overlooking the land that will blossom into our community.”

Throughout a visit to the sales center, the Windsor Run team knowledgeably answers any and all questions posed by their guests.

“My husband Dave and I had been exploring potential places for our retirement years for quite some time,” says Sally Welday.  “At Windsor Run we were met at the door by Amanda, who introduced us to Sara Foley.  Everyone has been extremely helpful and encouraging, showing us floor plans, giving us helpful advice, and warmly caring for us and our hopes for our future.

“They put no pressure on us to make immediate decisions but just came alongside us as we asked questions and explored possibilities. We were so impressed that we joined the priority list.”

Digging deeper

Return guests with a specific question or agenda often chose to schedule an appointment with Foley or Personal Moving Consultant June Parish.

“The great thing about our sales center is our open-door policy,” says Foley. “Our doors are always open. Whether you learn all you can in 2 visits or 12, we are here to help with the decision-making process by providing the information our potential residents need.”

Another great way to spend time in the sales center is by attending a variety of special events and “lunch and learn” opportunities scheduled throughout the year in the sale center’s spacious and window-filled 48-seat event room.

“I encourage anyone who is curious about learning more about Erickson Living at Windsor Run to schedule a pressure-free visit,” says Foley. “It’s a great way to spend an hour or two—learning something new, and maybe even changing your life.”
