Windsor Run will feature Erickson Living’s most popular floor plans, including the Carlisle apartment home.

Priority list membership continues to skyrocket at Windsor Run, the new 105-acre Erickson Living community in Matthews, N.C. Each new member is eager to claim one of the first homes at this sought-after community.

Each of these new Windsor Run apartment homes will feature amenities already popular at other Erickson Living communities, including airy layouts and beautiful finishes; modernized kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances; full-sized, side-by-side washers and dryers; walk-in closets; ceramic tile in the bathrooms; and custom flooring and light fixtures.

“We listened carefully to what current Erickson Living residents enjoy most about apartment homes,” says Director of Sales Tom Senger. “As a result, we are happy to announce that our first residence building, Dogwood Place, will offer our most popular floor plans, including the one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath Carlisle and the extra-large, two-bedroom, two-bath Walton.”

Because everyone has different needs, Windsor Run offers a wide range of apartment home styles and sizes to meet a variety of preferences and budgets. And all Windsor Run homes are 100% maintenance free and come with an industry-leading 90% refundable entrance deposit (ask to see the Residence and Care Agreement for full details).

One-bedroom dream

Reflecting the growing trend of living smaller and saving bigger, one-bedroom homes remain in high demand at all Erickson Living communities. As a result, almost one-third of the new homes at Windsor Run will be one-bedroom styles.

“One-bedroom homes, like the Carlisle, are top sellers at all the Erickson Living communities,” says Senger. “Not only are these beautifully appointed homes less expensive than our larger models, they still provide access to all the wonderful amenities that make living at an Erickson Living community such a pleasure.”

The sought-after Carlisle apartment home offers a large open floor plan with lots of windows flooding the living area with natural light. The large kitchen, chock-full with modern, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, is the envy of other one-bedroom designs. And the separate dining area is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal.

Glenn Immer chose a similar one-bedroom apartment home when he moved to Greenspring, an Erickson Living community in Springfield, Va., in February 2015.

“I’m very happy with my choice,” he says. “I find that I have more than enough room for all my belongings. The open floor plan provides a lot of flexibility. My living room is big enough for a large couch, desk, two six-foot-tall bookcases, and a six-foot banquet table. The closets are large and my bedroom is perfect for my queen-sized bed and two more six-foot-tall bookcases.”

Two bedrooms

For those looking for the extra space provided with a second bedroom, Windsor Run also offers a variety of two-bedroom floor plans, including the extra-large, two-bedroom, two-bath Walton.

“The second bedroom is a popular option for those looking to host guests or create a home office, entertainment room, or even an art studio,” says Senger.

Mary Lynn and Lacy Bradshaw use their second bedroom at Ashby Ponds, an Erickson Living community in Ashburn, Va., for a variety of useful purposes.

“We use the room as a home office, an area to exercise in, and as a place for our grandchildren to sleep when they stay overnight,” says Mary Lynn.

Providing more than 1,500 square feet, the Walton offers one of Windsor Run’s largest living areas. The two bedrooms, both with a large walk-in closet—perfect for extra storage—are located on opposite sides of the home for privacy.

“Remarkably, the bedrooms, bathrooms, and living area provide us with more space than we had in our previous home, where we lived for 40 years,” says Mary Lynn. “The open floor plan also has many benefits. Being able to work at the kitchen counter while talking to family members or looking out the windows is a big plus.”

Life outside the front door

Windsor Run community members will not only enjoy their perfectly sized homes but also have access to a wide range of unbeatable amenities and services right outside their front door.

Eight apartment homes will occupy the top floors of the Woodland Commons Clubhouse, and all other homes will be connected by climate-controlled walkways to the clubhouse, which will feature an on-site medical center staffed with full-time, board-certified physicians; a state-of-the-art fitness center; an all-season junior Olympic-sized pool; three dining options; a movie theater; marketplace; salon and spa; an art studio; and classrooms.

And as the community grows, activities and clubs will provide a wealth of opportunities to meet like-minded friends.

“I love all the activities available to me,” says Marcia Aberle, a community member at Greenspring. “There is so much to choose from and new things to do, most of which I did not have the time to do earlier in my life.”

Since moving to Greenspring, Marcia works both on stage and behind the scenes with the Greenspring Players, the community theater group; is a member of the investment discussion group and great books and history club; creates gifts with the Knit, Stitch, and Chat Club; and tests her green thumb with the gardening club.

With construction beginning soon, Windsor Run is gearing up to start taking apartment home reservations of floor plans and locations from priority list members. Joining the priority list now also has the added incentive of allowing members to select the finishes for their selected home’s cabinets, granite countertops, and flooring.

Now is the perfect time

“I encourage anyone eager to learn more about Windsor Run to schedule a no-pressure visit to our sales center,” says Senger. “In addition to answering questions and providing information on joining the priority list, we now have state-of-the-art 3-D tours of many of our apartment home styles.”
