Windsor Run will feature Erickson Living’s most popular floor plans, including the Bradford and the Somerton.

With the commencement of site work at Windsor Run, an Erickson Living community in Matthews, N.C., more people than at any other time since the community was announced last year are scheduling visits with Sales Director Tom Senger and his team.

“A majority of our visitors are eager to be among the first to move to our first residence building, Dogwood Place,” says Senger. “I tell everyone I meet with that we will have a great selection of the most sought-after apartment homes in the Erickson Living family. As the newest community, we have the great privilege of learning from those who came before. During the planning stages of Windsor Run, we chose the most popular one- and two-bedroom floor plans to offer our future community members.

The one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath Bradford and the large two-bedroom, two-bath Somerton are among these most desired models. Each is designed for modern living featuring granite countertops, ceramic tile, wood flooring, and stainless steel appliances.

One-bedroom living

One-bedroom floor plans are popular at all Erickson Living communities because of their affordability and access to the wide range of amenities and services right outside the front door.

“The Bradford is a one-bedroom dream because of the large, open living area that flows seamlessly into the modern kitchen,” says Senger. “It also boasts a large bedroom with direct access to a spacious walk-in closet and full-size bathroom as well as a half bath, tons of storage, and a dedicated laundry room with washer and dryer just off the kitchen.”

Elisabeth Burnett, a community member at Greenspring, an Erickson Living community in Springfield, Va., fell in love with her one-bedroom apartment home the first time she saw it.

“I knew immediately that my one-bedroom home was perfectly suited for me,” she says. “It’s the ideal space for my things, it is conveniently functional in all respects, and I am able to add my own decorating signature to reflect my personality.”

And the Bradford’s 90% refundable entrance deposit, as detailed in the Residence and Care Agreement, starts at $190,000, significantly less than that of the larger, two-bedroom floor plans.

Space to stretch out

For those who prefer larger, two-bedroom living, the Somerton is a popular floor plan option. With two side-by-side bedrooms, a dedicated dining room, and separate living room opening up to a private patio or balcony, it is the perfect home for those who like to entertain or simply stretch out and enjoy their surroundings.

The large, airy kitchen offers plenty of space for a table and chairs as well as a sizeable pantry. With direct access to the formal dining room, it is perfect for hosting family and friends for dinner.

“Many people interested in two-bedroom homes share their plans for their second bedroom,” says Senger. “The most popular options include turning the space into a home office, guest room, or even an art studio. Both bedrooms look out onto the patio or balcony filling the rooms with natural light.”

“The outside living space is hands-down our favorite feature in our home,” says Nan Krueger, who lives in a two-bedroom apartment home at Ashby Ponds, an Erickson Living community in Ashburn, Va. “It expands our living area and is a great way to peacefully stay connected to the space and weather outside our apartment.”

The Somerton apartment home comes with a 90% refundable entrance deposit of $393,000.

“I encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about the wide variety of apartment homes at Windsor Run to schedule a visit,” says Senger. “There is never any pressure to make a decision, just a great opportunity to ask questions and take a 3-D virtual tour of many of our most popular designs.”
