Across Houston, a surge of seniors is beginning to swell in anticipation of an upcoming move to Eagle’s Trace. The first wave of residents is scheduled to move into the West Houston community’s newest residence building, Amarillo Terrace, when it opens next month.

“This is an exciting time in the life of our community as we prepare to open Amarillo Terrace and welcome our newest residents,” says Sales
Director Pam Burgeson.

Amarillo Terrace features 108 new apartment homes in a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plans. All apartments feature exquisite finishes, including granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and tiled showers. The bright, airy layouts allow the beauty of the outdoors to shine through floor-to-ceiling windows, as residents enjoy lake views and plenty of outdoor space on patios, balconies, and screened-in porches.

The new residence building houses additional amenities, including a full-service restaurant and outdoor dining piazza, fitness center, creative arts studio, theater room, and classroom.

‘A little city’

Mark Batterson, director of general services at the Erickson Living community, spoke to current residents in June to give them an idea of what was taking place “behind the walls” as construction continued at Amarillo Terrace.

“We’re becoming a little city with all the amenities offered right here on campus,” Batterson told residents. “There’s already a lot of action at Eagle’s Trace, and we’re going to see even more hustle and bustle in the fourth quarter of this year as our new residents move in.”

Currently, Amarillo Terrace is over 70% sold out. There are still a limited number of desirable apartments available in a variety of sizes and price points.

The two-bedroom, two-bath Spindletop floor plan, for instance, features windows on three sides of the apartment, offering a 180-degree view of the campus.
