Easy living at Hummingbird Square

Guests lunch and learn about Tallgrass Creek’s new residence building

October 14th, 2016

The landscape changes every day at Tallgrass Creek as Hummingbird Square, the community’s new residence building, takes shape. The four-story building, scheduled for a summer 2017 opening, will feature 108 new residences with 18 designs, including 7 never-before-seen floor plans.

Earlier this year, about 50 guests learned all about the modern design and lifestyle Hummingbird Square will offer as they enjoyed a “Taste of Tallgrass” in the community’s sunny Blue Sky Restaurant.

Guests lunched on salads of spring greens with caramelized apples and pistachio-crusted goat cheese followed by roasted chicken breasts stuffed with fontina and herbs. Entrees were accompanied with Boursin-chive potatoes and steamed asparagus and topped off with chocolate-raspberry tortes.

Several residents joined the guests and welcomed questions about downsizing, moving, and everyday life at Tallgrass Creek.

“We want guests to experience firsthand why more than 400 residents call this active community home,” says Tallgrass Creek Sales Counselor Elaine Bahr.

Modern design

Hummingbird Square will connect via a climate-controlled walkway to Bluebird Crossing, one of the original residence buildings at Tallgrass Creek.

About 70% of the new residences will have outdoor space such as patios or balconies, as well as ample living space and underground parking.

Custom finishes, granite kitchen countertops, stainless steel appliances, and upgraded lighting and flooring are part of each spacious residence.

“As word spreads, residences at Hummingbird Square are reserving quickly,” says Blake Marshall, director of sales. “People realize with Hummingbird Square’s summer 2017 completion date, they have more time than usual to make moving decisions and preparations. That is a big plus.”

It’s all here

Just like everyone who lives at Tallgrass Creek, those who reserve in Hummingbird Square will enjoy the community’s well-equipped fitness center; on-site medical center; temperature-controlled, indoor pool; Sunflower Bistro, a popular lunch and happy hour spot; the Marketplace Café, a mini-grocery and coffee shop; and Blue Sky Restaurant where residents dine each evening.

Additionally, they can participate in the many educational, fitness, and entertainment opportunities that happen each week.

“There is always something going on here,” says frequent traveler Joyce Keeler, who moved to Tallgrass Creek four years ago. “I travel a lot but always love coming home to Tallgrass Creek.”
