Since the commencement of construction at Windsor Run, in Matthews, NC, earlier this summer, demand for the Erickson Living lifestyle has reached a fever pitch.

“As soon as the trucks arrived on our property, the number of people joining our priority list skyrocketed,” says Tom Senger, director of sales at Windsor Run. “Each week, dozens of people stop by our dedicated sales center to see the construction progress firsthand, join the priority list, and investigate their options. Our sales team has never been busier!”

Over the last few weeks, contractor Whiting-Turner has poured all the concrete for the Woodland Commons Clubhouse, placed footers, and dug the elevator shaft pit.

“With the foundation now in place, construction has begun going vertical,” says Senger. “That’s exciting to see. It’s no longer necessary to use your imagination when envisioning a Windsor Run future—it’s now on display for everyone to see.”

The first phase of construction includes 216 apartment homes and the amenity-rich, 50,000-square-foot, three-story Woodland Commons Clubhouse providing all-season access to an on-site medical center staffed with full-time board-certified physicians, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an all-season junior Olympic-size pool, three dining options, a movie theater, marketplace, salon and spa, art studio, and classrooms. The clubhouse will be connected through climate-controlled walkways to the community’s first residence building, Dogwood Place.

And because everyone has different needs, Windsor Run offers a wide range of apartment home styles and sizes to meet a variety of preferences and budgets. And all Windsor Run homes are 100% maintenance-free and come with an industry-leading 90% refundable entrance deposit (the Residence and Care Agreement has all the details).

Come in and see for yourself

Soon, Windsor Run’s sales center will begin accepting reservations for the community’s first apartment homes. These homes will be offered first to members of the priority list.

“To date, 330 people have joined our priority list,” says Senger. “That’s 114 more people than the number of apartment homes available once this first phase of construction is complete. I encourage anyone who is considering joining to do so this fall.”

Joining the priority list is easy and provides the peace of mind that comes with planning for the future. Members pay a fully refundable $1,000 deposit and a $150-per-person nonrefundable application fee.

Once this deposit is made, the date is noted as the member’s priority list date. Members are then encouraged to select a preferred floor plan that, once available, will be offered to them with right of first refusal based on their joining date.

There is no penalty should the preferred apartment home become available before a prospective resident is ready to move. It is simply offered to the next member on the list, and priority list status remains the same.

Joining the priority list now also has the added incentive of allowing members to select the finishes for their selected home’s cabinets, granite countertops, and flooring.

“My husband and I were on the Erickson Living priority list for five years,” says Ashby Ponds community member Yoska LeMair. “During that time we researched every other retirement community in the area, and by far, Erickson Living was the best when it came to protecting our financial investment, providing comfortable living options, and offering a friendly atmosphere with clubs and activities.

“We have lived here for over six years and I cannot say enough good things about our neighbors and all the Erickson Living staff who make living here such a joy.”
