One year after announcing Erickson Living’s first community in North Carolina, Windsor Run is gearing up to take its first apartment home reservations in January 2017. This opportunity to claim one of the first homes on campus will be offered exclusively to members of the priority list.

“It has been a busy 12 months since we first announced the coming of Windsor Run in Matthews, N.C.,” says Sales Director Tom Senger. “In that time, I’ve personally met with hundreds of people eager to be among our first residents. I’m happy to say that their wait is over. Beginning in January, our sales center will be accepting reservations for our first 216 homes.”

The ability to be the first to reserve homes at Windsor Run is one of the many advantages of the Windsor Run priority list. Members also enjoy invitations to special members-only events and numerous opportunities to meet the people who will one day be their neighbors.

“My husband Dave and I joined the priority list earlier this year, and it’s been a wonderful experience,” says Sally Welday. “We look forward to the completion of the first buildings and are excited for what the future holds.”

Taking advantage of the opportunity to visit the sales center and attend a variety of priority list events, the Weldays have met many new friends, even reconnecting with a couple they knew while attending college at the Miami University of Ohio as well as one of Dave’s former coworkers from General Motors in Detroit.

“To me, that’s the most exciting part about Windsor Run,” says Sally. “All the possibilities that exist both for friends to be made and the old friendships that will be rekindled.”

Keeping up to date

In preparation for the upcoming influx of reservations, the Windsor Run sales team recently launched a Facebook page ( to keep future residents and their families informed about the community.

“Our future residents are more tech-savvy than ever,” says Senger. “It’s the perfect place to share progress regarding site work and construction, provide news about key milestones, and post information about upcoming events and activities. We’ll also use our Facebook page to share features and human interest stories from across the Erickson Living enterprise about the people who make our communities award-winning places to live and work.”

The Facebook page complements Windsor Run’s website,, where users can find general information about the community, take virtual tours, and view renderings of floor plan options.

“We certainly live in a digital age in which information is readily available at our fingertips. Residents of Erickson Living take advantage of it, too,” says Senger. “Many of our future residents and their families research the Internet when it comes to senior living options. Our Facebook page will be another excellent resource for them.”
