Sales Counselor Marlene Victorine meets with people interested in moving to Windsor Run.

January 2017 marks the beginning of a new era at Windsor Run, Erickson Living’s first community in North Carolina. For the first time ever, the sales center will be accepting reservations from priority list members for the community’s first 216 apartment homes.

As a result, a record number of future community members are currently visiting the sales center and meeting with Sales Counselor Marlene Victorine in the hopes of keeping up to date and informed on the exciting weeks and months ahead.

“The ability to reserve one of the first homes at Windsor Run is the opportunity everyone has been waiting for,” says Victorine. “As a result, more and more people are scheduling visits to our sales center to learn more about our community and to find out how they can make Windsor Run their future home.”

Each of these meetings brings the opportunity to address unique questions and concerns.

“There are some questions that come up on a daily basis,” says Victorine. “And it’s my belief that if one person is asking a question, chances are two other people are probably wondering the same thing. I hope readers will find the responses helpful, and if they haven’t done so already, make an appointment to come see our vibrant community in person.”

Here are some questions Victorine is fielding every day.

Q: What do I need to do to ensure that, when I am ready to move, the Windsor Run home of my choice will be available to me?

A: This is the question I hear more than any other. Luckily, the answer is simple: Join the priority list! Next month, for the first time ever, the Windsor Run sales office will begin to take reservations for the first apartment homes exclusively from members of our priority list. This advance notice and opportunity is, in my opinion, one of the greatest benefits of joining the Windsor Run priority list.

And because Windsor Run is currently under construction, joining the priority list now has the added incentive of allowing you to select the finishes for your selected home’s cabinets, granite countertops, and flooring.

All it takes to join is a fully refundable $1,000 deposit and a $150-per-person nonrefundable application fee. The deposit reserves your priority date. Once your preferred apartment home becomes available, you will be given right of first refusal based on your joining date.

It’s important to note that there is no penalty should your preferred apartment home become available before you are ready to move. It is simply offered to the next member on the list and your priority list status remains the same.

While on the priority list, you will enjoy opportunities to learn more about our community and attend special priority list functions.

Q: I understand that Windsor Run is scheduled to open in early 2018. Is construction currently on schedule?

A: Great question and the answer is yes! Thanks to a moderate fall with enviable weather conditions, construction continues on time at Windsor Run. Currently, construction on the elevated concrete structure is in progress at the 56,000-square-foot Woodland Commons Clubhouse.

Concrete and steel columns are now in place at our first residence building, Dogwood Place, and foundations are being poured for a second residence building, Sycamore Square, which will offer an additional 216 apartment homes.

Q: I understand there will be 20 different apartment floor plans available at Windsor Run. What are the most popular apartment home designs?

A:  Because everyone has different needs, Windsor Run offers a wide range of more than 30 apartment home styles and sizes to meet a variety of preferences and budgets. Each of these new Windsor Run apartment homes will feature amenities already popular at other Erickson Living communities, including airy layouts and beautiful finishes, modernized kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers, walk-in closets, ceramic tile in the bathrooms, and custom flooring and light fixtures.

And all Windsor Run homes are maintenance free and come with an industry-leading 90% refundable entrance deposit [Windsor Run’s Residence and Care Agreement has full details].

Because we listened carefully to what current Erickson Living residents enjoy most about apartment homes, our first residence buildings, Dogwood Place and Sycamore Square, will offer our most popular floor plans, including the one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath Carlisle and the extra-large, two-bedroom, two-bath Walton.

The sought-after Carlisle apartment home offers a large open floor plan with lots of windows flooding the living area with natural light. The large kitchen, with modern, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops is the envy of other one-bedroom designs. And the separate dining area is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal.

For those looking for the extra space provided with a second bedroom, Windsor Run also offers a variety of two-bedroom floor plans, including the extra-large, two-bedroom, two-bath Walton. The second bedroom is a popular option for those looking to host guests or create a home office, entertainment room, or even an art studio.

Q: What opportunities are available to me to learn more about Windsor Run prior to its opening?

A: The best way to learn more about a future at Windsor Run is to plan a visit to the Windsor Run sales center. Now that construction is under way, guests are invited to step out onto the observation deck to witness Windsor Run coming to life.

Virtual tours of the Woodland Commons Clubhouse as well as a wide variety of apartment floor plans are also available. Guests may choose to linger in our design center where they can explore the various options available when choosing a Windsor Run home, such as cabinet finishes, countertops, back splashes, and paint colors.

Another great way to spend time in the sales center is by attending one of a variety of special events and “lunch and learn” opportunities, which are scheduled throughout the year in the sales center’s spacious and window-filled 48-seat event room.

This month’s lunch and learn events will include a special holiday luncheon featuring balsamic salmon, stuffed Cornish game hens, au gratin potatoes, fresh salad and vegetables, and cranberry-white chocolate spice cake and eggnog cake for dessert.

Our priority list members will also enjoy a special holiday meal, including live music from Sun Valley High School and a toy/gift drive for those in need in the Charlotte area.
