The Bradford and the Somerton floor plans.

The Bradford and the Somerton are two popular floor plans at Windsor Run's first resident building, Dogwood Place.

As construction continues, on time and on schedule, the Windsor Run sales center begins accepting the community’s first reservations this month.

“Based on experience at other Erickson Living communities, we anticipate our first apartment homes to sell out in a matter of weeks,” says Windsor Run Sales Director Tom Senger.

At Ashby Ponds, Windsor Run’s sister community in Ashburn, Va., the latest residence building to open, Magnolia Place, sold out in less than two months, almost exclusively to members of the priority list.

“Historically, the first available apartment homes at Erickson Living communities sell out at a record pace,” says Senger. “Every day our sales team meets with people eager to move to our first North Carolina community.”

Wide array of choices

Windsor Run’s first residence building, Dogwood Place, features a wide variety of apartment designs each boasting amenities already popular at other Erickson Living communities, including airy layouts and beautiful finishes, modernized kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, washers and dryers, walk-in closets, ceramic tile in the bathrooms, and custom flooring and light fixtures.

And for the first time in Erickson Living history, an entire floor of sought-after apartment homes is also be available in the Woodland Commons Clubhouse.

“We listened carefully to what current Erickson Living residents enjoy most about apartment homes,” says Senger. “As a result, we are confident that the variety of apartment designs available at Windsor Run will ensure that there is a perfect home for a wide variety of preferences and budgets.”

In addition, all Windsor Run homes ae 100% maintenance free and come with an industry-leading 90% refundable entrance deposit (the Residence and Care Agreement has full details).

Reflecting the growing trend of living smaller and saving bigger, one-bedroom homes remain in high demand at all Erickson Living communities. As a result, almost one-third of the new homes at Windsor Run are one-bedroom styles.

“One-bedroom homes are top-sellers at all the Erickson Living communities,” says Senger. “Not only are these beautifully appointed homes less expensive than our larger models, they still provide access to all the wonderful amenities that make living at an Erickson Living community such a pleasure.”

The sought-after Carlisle one-bedroom apartment home offers a large open floor plan with lots of windows flooding the living area with natural light. The large kitchen, chock-full of modern, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, is the envy of other one-bedroom designs. And the separate dining area is the perfect place to enjoy a good meal.

The Bradford is a one-bedroom dream because of the large, open living area that flows seamlessly into the modern kitchen. It also boasts a large bedroom with direct access to a spacious walk-in closet and full-size bathroom, as well as a half bath, tons of storage, and a dedicated laundry room with washer and dryer, just off the kitchen.

For those looking for the extra space provided with a second bedroom, Windsor Run also offers a variety of two-bedroom floor plans, including the extra-large, two-bedroom, two-bath Walton.

“The second bedroom is a popular option for those looking to host guests or create a home office, entertainment room, or even an art studio,” says Senger.

Providing more than 1,500 square feet, the Walton offers one of Windsor Run’s largest living areas. The two bedrooms, both with a large walk-in closet—perfect for extra storage—are located on opposite sides of the home for privacy.

The Somerton is another one of Erickson Living’s most sought-after two-bedroom options. With two side-by-side bedrooms, a dedicated dining room, and separate living room opening up to a private patio or balcony, it is the perfect home for those who like to entertain or simply stretch out and enjoy their surroundings.

The large, airy kitchen offers plenty of space for a table and chairs as well as a sizeable pantry. With direct access to the formal dining room, it is perfect for hosting family and friends for dinner.

Life outside the front door

All Windsor Run apartment homes will enjoy direct access to the wide range of options to stay healthy and active, including an on-site medical center, a professionally staffed fitness center, and an assortment of dining options.

The three-story, 56,000-square-foot Woodland Commons Clubhouse features an on-site medical center staffed with full-time, board-certified physicians, a state-of-the-art fitness center, an all-season junior Olympic-size pool, three dining options, a movie theater, marketplace, salon and spa, an art studio, and classrooms. The clubhouse is connected through climate-controlled walkways to Dogwood Place.

In addition to the plentiful amenities located inside, the Woodland Commons Clubhouse features enviable outside features, including a back patio with stone fire pit, a putting green, dog park, and a cornhole lawn.

Community members will enjoy access to this beautiful back patio from either the first floor or terrace level of the clubhouse.

“It is wonderful to be able to see a doctor and medical specialists, go to the barber, buy some basic grocery items, enjoy some exercise and pool time, grow vegetables in a garden, choose from a large menu of dinner options, and participate in an extremely wide variety of activities without leaving home,” says Carl Nemecek, a community member at Greenspring, an Erickson Living community in Springfield, Va.

Time to act

Since first announcing the arrival of Windsor Run in 2015, hundreds of people joined the community’s priority list and eagerly anticipate a future at Erickson Living’s first community in North Carolina.

“Now is an exciting time for all of us,” says Senger. “As construction continues to bring our campus to life and our sales staff begins accepting reservations, we are fulfilling the promise we made when we first broke ground. I encourage anyone interested in a future at Windsor Run to schedule an appointment. Dogwood Place is just the beginning of what I know will be a wonderful community.”
