Rona Mininni knew exactly what life would be like at Seabrook, the Erickson Living community in Tinton Falls, N.J., because her father had lived there. What she didn’t expect was how easy her move would be.

Though she had known for 15 years she would move to Seabrook, when Rona attended a sales luncheon in April 2015 and met resident ambassador Judy Tier, she knew the time was right.

Lucky for Rona, she used a real estate agent preferred by Erickson Realty and Moving Services and sold her house in just four hours. She didn’t have to wait any longer for the worry-free lifestyle she had been dreaming about for 15 years.

Erickson Realty and Moving Services at each Erickson Living community provides a local personal moving consultant who offers complimentary coordination of all realty and moving needs, including downsizing, home staging, packing, and selection of a real estate professional.

Step by step

Seabrook Personal Moving Consultant Laurie Williamson conducted a home visit armed with a magnetic floor plan of Rona’s new apartment. She toured the house to see which existing furniture pieces Rona wanted to bring, then she placed to-scale pieces on the magnetic floor plan. That way, Rona knew what pieces she could bring and exactly where they would go in her new apartment home.

Rona used Econo-Line Movers at Williamson’s recommendation. “They were fantastic,” she says.

Thanks to the coordination managed by Erickson Realty and Moving Services, Rona moved to Seabrook on April 14 and closed on her house on April 15. “It was very quick,” she says.

Rona quickly settled into her new life at Seabrook. She reconnected with Judy Tier and four other women, and they have become the best of friends.

“We have all clicked to a degree that you’d think we’d known each other our whole lives. That’s the kind of bond we have,” says Rona.

She’s enjoyed making other friends too. “We’ve met many more people in their sixties, but I also love the older seniors because I feel like I’m living in a history book,” she says. “Every story is fantastic.”
