When visitors arrive at Devonshire for an appointment with Sales Counselor Donna Schneider they’re greeted with a smile and a signature confection from the community’s renowned cuisine.

The welcome mat is out at Devonshire at PGA National, Erickson Living’s senior living community in Palm Beach Gardens.

Devonshire has a new and upscale look for the New Year. If you haven’t visited in six months, Sales Counselor Donna Schneider invites you to return and see all the changes.

The desirable finishes, elegant furnishings, and expanded spaces amount to an all-new clubhouse.

“We’re inviting people in to get a first-hand look, starting with members of our priority list,” says Schneider.

‘Live the Life’

“We’ll also be busy with our ‘Live the Life’ events that give people who are seriously considering moving to Devonshire (priority list members) an opportunity to experience what it’s like to actually live here,” she adds. “They might attend an activity, share cocktails and dinner with a Devonshire member whose interests are compatible with theirs, or even be invited for an overnight stay.”

Because renovations also transformed Devonshire’s five distinctive clubhouse restaurants, “Live the Life” dinner guests dine in well-appointed and comfortable settings.

Those congenial dinner conversations often spark friendships that allow people to feel at home at Devonshire even before they move in. They begin to sense the family-like camaraderie that exists among Devonshire members.

On any given evening, the liveliest clubhouse venue is Churchill Lounge. Its redesign has given it an uptown ambience and enlarged its space; the back wall is now a wall of windows with views that feature spectacular Florida sunsets.

Churchill Lounge and Cavendish Café now offer outdoor seating and dining areas. “Nearly every restaurant in Florida offers outside dining,” Schneider says. “It’s wonderful that we offer it now, too.”

Portions of the second floor have also been updated and enlarged to create a flexible multipurpose room.

You’ll see those and many other impressive changes when you visit and take a clubhouse tour.

And you’ll discover that Devonshire’s reputation for five-star service, world-class cuisine, and elegant apartment homes, is well deserved.

The community boasts a wide range of apartment styles and sizes. Regardless of apartment size, every member receives the exact same services. That includes the peace of mind provided by Devonshire’s designation as a life care community, a type of continuing care.

“When you move into an apartment, you enter into a life care contract,” Schneider says.

Life care is an innovative approach to planning ahead for whatever challenges may come with living a longer life.

Should members ever need additional care, they can access the five-star-rated health care services of Chatsworth, Devonshire’s continuing care neighborhood.

“And,” says Schneider, “even if you move from independent living to Chatsworth and live out your life there, your monthly service fee does not increase over what you pay in independent living. That’s regardless of the level of care you receive. The details and ancillary fees are explained in the Residency Contract.”
