Sales staff at Brooksby brings wealth of experience and expertise

Ask Sue Davis to describe her sales team at Brooksby Village, and you’ll see her face light up.

“We have a well-rounded team with many years of experience,” says Davis, sales director at the Erickson Living community in Peabody, Mass., for the past ten years. “Not only does our sales staff do a fantastic job working with our prospective residents, but they’re all wonderful people.”

The sales team draws together a wealth of experience about the senior living industry, Erickson Living, and Brooksby Village.

“Many of our sales team members have also worked in other departments at Brooksby, so they have a real breadth of knowledge when it comes to answering questions about the community,” says Davis.

Approaching two decades at Brooksby

Sales Associate Barbara Nunes is one of Brooksby’s pioneer employees. She worked at the front desk in the Town Centre Clubhouse when the community opened in 2000.

“Barbara is familiar with our residents and many facets of the community because she’s been at Brooksby since the beginning,” says Davis.

Sales Counselor Jane Kiegel also brings 17 years of experience to her role. She started her career with Erickson Living in May 2000 as a marketing associate at Brooksby. Two years later she moved to Linden Ponds, the Erickson Living community in Hingham, as a sales manager to assist in opening that community. 

Kiegel also spent three years as a sales counselor at Tallgrass Creek, the Erickson Living community in Overland Park, Kans., before returning to Brooksby as sales counselor, where she meets with prospective residents interested in moving to the community.

“Brooksby offers an active, worry-free lifestyle in a beautiful setting,” says Kiegel. “I enjoy showing prospective residents all that Brooksby has to offer and helping them find just the right apartment.”

Sales Manager Gina Fernandez was a freshman at Peabody High School in May 2001 when she first started working as a student server in dining services at Brooksby.

“I continued to work at Brooksby while I attended Salem State University, and then I was fortunate to have a job offer from Brooksby when I graduated,” says Fernandez, who worked in dining services and human resources before joining the sales team. 

Expertise in their field

Senior Sales Associate Diane DeRoche has been working at Brooksby for nearly eight years and brings a comprehensive understanding of the senior living industry to her role.

Sales Associate Stefanie Graves began her career at Brooskby in the fitness center, where she helped many of the community’s residents pursue their wellness goals. Now, as a member of the sales team, Graves coordinates Live the Life visits for prospective residents who want to spend a night or two at the community to fully experience the Brooksby lifestyle.

“Our Live the Life program gives prospective residents the unique opportunity to stay overnight in one of our guest suites before they make the decision to move,” says Davis. “Stefanie does a great job putting together a personalized schedule for each visit. She considers the interests of each guest as she introduces them to current residents and plans activities for their stay.”

Personal Moving Consultant Laurie Phillips just celebrated her fifth anniversary at Brooksby. In her role, Phillips offers support to future residents through every step of the moving process. She provides referrals to trusted real estate professionals who have been vetted by Brooksby and who have successfully assisted other community members through their moves.

“No matter when you’re thinking of moving, it’s never too early to begin planning,” says Phillips. “I tell our future residents to let me handle the details. I can take many of the stresses associated with moving off their shoulders.”

Shared mission

As a team, the sales staff works seamlessly to ensure that each move-in is successful and prospective community members have all the information they need to make informed decisions about their move to Brooksby.

“We each have our own role, but at the end of the day our mission is the same,” says Davis. “We’re sharing our gifts to create a community that celebrates life—one interaction at a time.”
