Devonshire Sales Counselor Maria Littleworth.

Maria Littleworth, who joined the sales staff at Devonshire at PGA National as a sales counselor late last year, brought with her seven years of experience in senior living, most recently at La Posada.

She also brought Midwestern values; a sunny personality; an enthusiasm for interacting with older adults; and an abiding desire to work at Devonshire, Erickson Living’s senior living community in Palm Beach Gardens.

Littleworth’s experience in the senior living industry began several years ago in Kansas City, Kans. That’s where she discovered that senior living can change peoples lives.

“I’ve seen so many people, when they move to a vibrant senior liv-
ing community, become active, engaged, and start enjoying all that life has to offer,” she says.

Erickson Living’s culture

Since she and her husband moved to PGA four years ago, Littleworth has acquired an extensive knowledge of the area’s senior living options. Erickson Living’s culture, however, struck a nerve.

“There’s genuine caring and teamwork here,” says Littleworth. “Everyone works for the community members. From my first day I could see that staff people take a yes attitude toward requests and find ways to deliver on that promise.”

She conveys the same attitude when she tells people, some of whom are her PGA neighbors, about Devonshire. “I promise them a lifestyle of enrich- ment, fun, and excite- ment,” she says. “Everyone wants that, and we make it happen every day.”

To let people see Devonshire for themselves, Littleworth leads tours
of its luxurious model apartment homes, its five world-class restaurants, and the rich assortment of clubhouse activities and amenities that underpin its resort lifestyle.

That lifestyle, which includes live clubhouse entertainment nearly every day, extends beyond Devonshire; its community members also enjoy complimentary membership privileges at PGA National Resort & Spa.

“People feel they give things up when they move to senior living,” Littleworth says, “but actually, at Devonshire, they add so much more, including friendships. Friendships are cultivated at Devonshire. Not only will people make new friends, but those friends will feel like family.”

After seven moves of her own, Littleworth understands the trepidation people feel about putting down roots in a new place. “But it’s so worth it,” she says. “It opens up new possibilities and new friendships that otherwise would never have appeared.”

Off the clock, Littleworth takes daily walks and soaks up the beauty of her PGA neighborhood.

She also likes to cook. Littleworth’s specialty is baking, and her sales office colleagues reap the benefits of her skills. On Valentine’s Day, she brought them homemade cinnamon rolls.

This winter has been especially busy at Devonshire and apartment sales have been brisk. To meet Littleworth and learn about Devonshire and its available apartment homes, call the sales office, 1-800-442-7650, and schedule a personal appointment and tour with her.
