The group above is part of Tallgrass Creek’s Writing Club and wrote A History and Story of Tallgrass Creek, which was distributed during Tallgrass Creek’s ten-year anniversary celebration.

Other contributors not pictured include Jim Crumpler, Clara Franz, Deanna Marquette, Linda Schur, Flossie Shattuck, and Jim Hanson.

The spiral-bound book captures the history, development, and management structure of Tallgrass Creek and includes delightful stories about the community’s first residents. The publication opens with a lovely poem written by Flossie Shattuck, who also drew the artwork on the cover depicting Tallgrass Creek’s native Kansas grasses. It ends with a memorable closing passage written by Jim Hanson.
