As exciting as the ongoing construction has been, Windsor Run’s opening will be the beginning of a new life for so many.

As exciting as the ongoing construction has been, Windsor Run’s opening will be the beginning of a new life for so many.

The Windsor Run priority list offers the hottest ticket in town—a future home at the sought-after Erickson Living community opening later this month in Matthews, N.C. And membership certainly has its privileges, including invitations to parties, tours, and social events designed specifically for the community’s future residents.

“We plan each event with our pioneer residents and priority list members’ tastes and preferences in mind,” says Windsor Run Director of Sales Tom Senger. “These events are wonderful opportunities for our future community members to meet and form friendships with the people who will some day be their neighbors.”

Earlier this spring, Windsor Run hosted the most highly anticipated event since the community first began construction. Over the course of two days, priority list members enjoyed entering Woodland Commons Clubhouse and touring two of the community’s best-selling apartment homes, mere weeks before the first residents move in.

“Up until this point, virtual tours were the only way to see what our clubhouse and floor plans will look like,” says Senger. “And while those have been extremely helpful in the decision-making process, nothing beats seeing our community up close and in person.”

First steps to fall

The real show-stopper for priority list members was the walk-through of two of the most sought-after apartment homes—the extra-large, 1,608-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath Wellington, and the large, 1,034-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath Harrison.

These homes represent a first for Erickson Living, as they are located inside Woodland Commons Clubhouse. The clubhouse will feature an entire floor of sought-after apartment homes, including a mix of one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath, and two-bedroom, two-bath floor plans. Each will come equipped with stainless steel Energy Star kitchen appliances, granite countertops, tiled bath/showers with adjustable showerheads, and modern lighting and flooring options.

“All of the apartment homes at Windsor Run will connect directly to the clubhouse through climate-controlled walkways,” says Senger. “But the convenience of living inside the clubhouse is a benefit never before experienced at an Erickson Living community.”

Invitations are waiting

In addition to special events like the recent pre-opening walk-through, priority list members also receive sought-after invitations to other events, such as health and wellness and financial seminars, opportunities to meet the executive team, and “meet your neighbor” gatherings. As Windsor Run continues to grow, they will also receive first notice of new construction.

Priority list members enjoy exclusive access to Windsor Run’s personal moving consultant, Rachel Gilbert. She meets with priority list members in their homes to provide information on the wide variety of resources available through Erickson Realty and Moving Services, including real estate agents, downsizing experts, cleanout services, packers, and movers. Everyone Gilbert refers has been handpicked because of the quality of services they provide.

“I want to make sure that everyone who wants to sell their house and move to Windsor Run can do so easily and with as little stress as possible,” says Gilbert, who spoke with many priority list members at the walk-through event. “It is my number-one priority to make the move from an individual’s current house to Windsor Run as stress-free and seamless as possible.”

Joining is easy

Joining the priority list is simple. Members pay a fully refundable $1,000 deposit and a $150-per-person nonrefundable application fee. Once this deposit is made, the date is noted as the member’s priority list date. Members are encouraged to select preferred floor plans, that once available, will be offered to them, with the right of first refusal, based on their joining date.

There is no penalty should the preferred apartment home become available before a prospective resident is ready to move. It is simply offered to the next member on the list and the priority list status remains the same.

“I encourage anyone thinking about a future at Windsor Run to schedule a visit to learn more about our many priority list benefits,” says Senger.
