Ashby Ponds announces the construction of Belmont Commons, the first residence building in the community’s third neighborhood.

Continuing to grow more rapidly than any other Erickson Living community in the nation, Ashby Ponds announces the construction of its third and final neighborhood, beginning with the construction of the thirteenth residence building, Belmont Commons, scheduled to open in fall 2019.

“This is, without a doubt, our most exciting year to date,” says Director of Sales Holly Henderson. “Earlier this spring, we opened Birch Point and eagerly await the opening of Cypress Ridge next month. Now, as construction begins on Belmont Commons, Ashby Ponds will continue to meet the great demand for Erickson Living in Loudoun County.”

In fact, the demand for Ashby Ponds mirrors the growth of Loudoun County, Va., where the community is located. Using U.S. Census Bureau data, the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service recently determined that Loudoun County is the fastest-growing jurisdiction in the state, with a population growth of 26.8% since the 2010 census.

“There is little doubt that Ashby Ponds benefits from its location,” says Henderson. “But the demand for our community is due to so much more. Providing our residents with unbeatable amenities and services not only results in high demand but in high satisfaction. Ashby Ponds enjoys one of the highest occupation rates in the nation at over 95%.”

Something for everyone

The addition of Belmont Commons will add 120 new apartment homes to the popular community and will feature popular amenities, including airy layouts; modernized kitchens with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances; full-size, side-by-side washers and dryers; walk-in closets; and custom flooring and fixtures.

“We listened carefully to what our current residents and priority list members enjoy most about apartment homes already on campus,” says Henderson. “As a result, Belmont Commons will feature floor plans that best meet the needs of our community,” says Henderson. “For instance, recent focus groups illustrated the desire for large, two-bedroom homes.”

As a result, Belmont Commons features a brand-new, over-2,000-square-foot, deluxe two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath apartment home. In addition to bountiful living space, the Yorkshire floor plan features a walk-in closet off the master bedroom, a specious den adjacent to the living area, and a utility room with extra storage.

Each new apartment home, regardless of size, will be easily accessible to Ashby Ponds’ two clubhouses via climate-controlled walkways. Inside the clubhouses, community members will enjoy an on-site medical center, fitness and aquatics center, performing arts center, day spa, classrooms, computer lab, and creative arts studio.

“There is so much to do and so many wonderful people to meet,” says C. Carole Richard, who moved to Ashby Ponds last summer.

Flood of response

Since the announcement of Belmont Commons to the Ashby Ponds priority list earlier this spring, the response has been swift. First notice of new construction is continually cited as one of the top reasons for joining the priority list.

“As the first building in our third and final neighborhood, we anticipate Belmont Commons to completely sell out before the end of the year,” says Henderson. “Word of mouth is a powerful force. Our community members love living here, and they continue to spread the word among family and friends. Since we announced Belmont Commons to the priority list, almost half of the new homes are reserved.”

All it takes to join the priority list is a fully refundable $1,000 deposit and a $150-per-person nonrefundable application fee. When prospective residents submit their deposit, that date is noted as their priority list date. As apartment homes become available, the sales team gives first right of refusal to priority list members based on their joining date.

Another top benefit of priority list membership is the Live the Life suite, which provides members the opportunity to live on campus for a designated period of time. During their stay, guests enjoy access to the same amenities and services as current Ashby Ponds residents. They are encouraged to select activities that interest them and attend a club meeting, join residents for dinner, relax in the spa, see a show, or use the fitness and aquatics center.

“The sky is really the limit,” says Ashby Ponds Sales Counselor Dana Bradshaw. “The experience provides our future community members with the unique experience of real life at Ashby Ponds.”

Perfect timing

With Birch Point already open and Cypress Ridge opening next month, people choosing an apartment home at Belmont Commons will enjoy friendships with both seasoned and new neighbors.

“Every new community member enriches all of us with his or her experiences and talents,” says George Menassa. “Ashby Ponds is an extremely warm and friendly place where we all try to make everyone feel welcome and valued.”

Carole agrees.

“Every time I turn around, I run into someone else I know; it’s remarkable,” she says. “Living at Ashby Ponds is a dream come true, only I never would have dreamt this much. Living here is better than any dream I ever had.”
