Linda Parsons, a seasoned Florida resident, has recently reserved a beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath, Giorno-style apartment home at Siena Lakes, the continuing care retirement community under construction in North Naples. She says she’s thrilled about her move to the community

“I’m excited that everything will be new!” says Linda. “We have the opportunity to pick the finishes for our homes from some lovely options, so they can be personalized. I also like the fact that it will be new for everyone, so we’re all beginning together.”

Maintenance-free living

Linda is eager to take advantage of the maintenance-free perks at Siena Lakes, a luxury she does not enjoy now.

“I currently live in a condo, but there is still quite a bit of maintenance involved,” she explains. “I am looking forward to having the personnel at Siena Lakes take care of any issues I may have.”

Life at Siena Lakes is hassle-free thanks to the full-time maintenance staff, 24/7 security, professional landscapers, under-building parking, and biweekly housekeeping service.

Linda says she is also looking forward to meeting new people through the various clubs and activities at Siena Lakes. She’ll be able to fill her day planner with events and new friends—not errands and chores.

Once she and her neighbors move in, dozens of clubs will start up because of all the different interests community members will want to share.

Delicious dining

Linda is also relieved she won’t have to always cook for herself. Her monthly service package will include a food allowance in any of the four on-site restaurants serving a variety of entrées.

“I have always loved to cook, but it’s becoming more of a chore than a pleasure, so I’m looking forward to not having to cook if I don’t want to,” she says.

In addition to meals, Siena Lakes’ monthly service package includes all utilities, property taxes, cable TV, and much more.

Why move?

“My children live in the north,” Linda notes. “And as much as I love my children, I do not want to live in a cold place ever again!”

Linda grew up in Montana and lived in Minnesota and Massachusetts before coming to Naples about 25 years ago.

“I also don’t want to burden my family,” she adds. “I trust that Siena Lakes will have the care I need, should I need it.”

When it comes to making the decision to move to a retirement community, Linda suggests that you do it while you can, rather than leaving it up to someone else to do it for you.

“I think the most valuable part of Siena Lakes is the option for continuing care,” she says. “I am healthy now, but just in case anything happens in the future, I will have the options for additional care.

“From everything I have seen so far, I believe that Siena Lakes is going to be a first-class community and that Erickson Senior Living seems to really care about the communities and residents. I hope it will be carefree and fun!”
