With last year’s opening of the Beech Hollow residence building and construction currently underway on Piedmont Overlook, Windsor Runs’ continuing care neighborhood, numerous people are visiting the campus this spring eager to learn how they can move to one of the fastest growing continuing care retirement communities in North Carolina.

“In the last month, I’ve met with dozens of people who hope to move to Windsor Run this year,” says Windsor Run Director of Sales Ryan Barkley. “Our sales team is meeting with people who want to know how they can move to Windsor Run as soon as possible. Their top questions center on what apartment homes are currently available and what resources are in place to make their move a reality.”

Here are the most up-to-date answers relating to these important questions.

Q: What has the addition of Beech Hollow meant to the Windsor Run community?

A: We couldn’t be more excited about the addition of more than 150 new community members, all of whom are settling into their new lives at Windsor Run. Each day I speak to very happy residents who recount stories of the many new friends they’ve made and exciting new experiences. In fact, I’ve heard several stories from our new Beech Hollow residents on how they’ve run into other Windsor Run community members they know from the past, including former coworkers and neighbors.

All of our new community members, both in Beech Hollow and our other Windsor Run neighborhoods, enjoy numerous opportunities to meet neighbors, whether it’s dining in one of our restaurants, attending our many clubs and activities, or mingling at monthly happy hours.

Q: What’s the secret? What do I need to do to ensure that, when I am ready to move, the Windsor Run home of my choice will be available to me?

A: This is the question I receive more than any other. Luckily, the answer is simple. Join the priority list! All it takes to join is a fully refundable $1,000 deposit and a $150-per-person nonrefundable application fee.  The deposit reserves your priority date. Once your preferred apartment home becomes available, you will be given right of first refusal based on your joining date.

It’s important to note that there is no penalty should your preferred apartment home become available before you are ready to move. It is simply offered to the next member on the list; your priority list status remains the same.

While on the priority list, you will enjoy opportunities to learn more about our community, meet current residents, attend special priority list functions, and tour apartment homes.

It’s important to note that one of the biggest benefits of joining the Windsor Run priority list is first notice regarding the opening of new residence buildings. Months before construction plans are announced to the public, our priority list members are given the opportunity to reserve a home in the new building. Priority list membership spiked following the announcement of Beech Hollow, which opened last year.

Q: Windsor Run is such a popular community; are there any apartment homes currently available?”

A: Despite our high occupancy rates, there are fewer than ten of our most popular apartment homes available, including the large one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath Faulkner and the two-bedroom, two-bath Hawthorne.

The Faulkner is a one-bedroom dream because of the large, open living area that flows seamlessly into the modern kitchen. It also boasts a large bedroom with direct access to a spacious walk-in closet and full-size bathroom as well as a half bath, tons of storage, and a dedicated laundry room with washer and dryer, just off the kitchen.

The Hawthorne is also extremely popular thanks to its large kitchen and living area and enviable master bedroom with walk-in closet. The second bedroom also boasts a large walk-in closet and is perfect for hosting guests or creating a home office, entertainment room, or even an art studio.

It’s important to note that while supply varies on a daily basis, my team and I take finding the perfect home for each individual very seriously. Anyone wishing to move to Windsor Run in the short term should call to explore their options.
