One-bedroom Chadwick apartment homes, such as the one whose light filled living room we see here, are currently available.

With demand for the Ashby Ponds lifestyle at an all-time high, Sales Director Holly Henderson says just a few of the sought-after, one-bedroom Chadwick apartment homes are currently available.

Spring is in the air at Ashby Ponds, an Erickson Living-managed community in Ashburn, Va., and Sales Director Holly Henderson and her team are busy meeting with people eager to make this the year they call the sought-after community home.

“It’s an exciting time on campus,” says Henderson. “With last year’s opening of Belmont Commons, our thirteenth residence building, and the 2021 opening of our third clubhouse, we are currently witnessing a record-breaking number of people both moving to Ashby Ponds and joining our priority list.”

In the midst of this flurry of activity, numerous people visit the campus each day eager to learn how they can live at the fastest growing continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in the nation.

This month, Henderson sat down with the Tribune to share this month’s most frequently asked questions posed during these visits.

Q: Ashby Ponds is such a popular community; are there any apartment homes currently available?

A: Despite the fact that Ashby Ponds experiences one of the highest occupancy rates for CCRCs in the country, there are currently a handful of our most popular apartment homes available, including our one-bedroom Chadwick apartment home and the two-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath with porch Raleigh.

The Chadwick boasts a large, open living area that flows seamlessly into the modern kitchen. The large bedroom offers direct access to a spacious walk-in closet and full-size bathroom as well as a half bath and plenty of storage. In addition, the Chadwick is available with a patio option, providing the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors and our beautiful surroundings.

And for the first time in a long time, we currently have a few large two-bedroom Raleigh homes available. This stunning home is, without a doubt, one of the most popular two-bedroom options thanks to its large kitchen and living area and enviable master bedroom with walk-in closet. The second bedroom is perfect for hosting guests, creating a home office, entertainment room, or even an art studio.

However, supplies are very limited. At the time of this printing, only three Raleigh homes and two Chadwick homes remain.

Q: I’ve heard many good things about living at Ashby Ponds. How can I learn more about the lifestyle?

A: Ashby Ponds hosts no-pressure personal appointments for people who are eager to learn more about our community.

We are planning our annual summer expo, which is a great opportunity for those who wish to bring their family members as well to experience the community and all it has to offer. We encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about Ashby Ponds to contact our sales office.

Q: Ashby Ponds’ modern apartment homes and high-quality services make me question whether or not I can afford to live here. Is Ashby Ponds affordable?

A: We take the commitment to providing a wide range of financial options very seriously. Because of the high quality of services Ashby Ponds provides, some people feel that moving here must be a very expensive venture. But the reality is that we have—carefully and with great care—planned for a wide range of options to meet a variety of budgets.

When planning for each new residence building, we made sure we were offering a full spectrum of living options, from apartment styles to price points, to meet the demands of our diverse group of prospective residents.

All of our apartment homes, from our more affordable one-bedroom styles to our high-end, deluxe two-bedroom homes, enjoy our industry-leading 90% refundable entrance deposit as well as the benefits of a wide range of amenities and services right outside the front door (see our Residence and Care Agreement for the full details). In fact, many people find that moving to Ashby Ponds saves them money and costs less than staying in their house.
