Tricia and Fred Neer say they are eager to move to Siena Lakes. They've already selected their apartment home style called The Marina.

Fred and Tricia Neer are eagerly waiting to move into Siena Lakes, the continuing care retirement community being built in North Naples, Fla.

“We know several people who have lived in the Erickson communities in Michigan and Massachusetts, and they spoke highly of it,” says Fred. “So as soon as we heard that Erickson was coming to Naples, we immediately did research, went to a presentation with Sales Counselor Suzy McAllister, and were very impressed. The sales team does a nice presentation when you come in for an appointment. We can’t say enough about Suzy and her ability to be an honest and helpful sales person.”

The sales presentation itself brought the community to life for Fred and Tricia. “The presentation was almost all visual arts with some mock-up poster boards,” Fred says. “They had wonderful displays of the various layouts and showed us where each apartment is located. We found out which units were still available, and we were almost immediately attracted to The Marina.”

The perfect floor plan

Within a month, the Neers put down a deposit for The Marina, a two-bedroom two-bath apartment home.

“The apartment home we chose looks out over the entrance lakes,” says Tricia. “Plus, it’s a corner unit and the lanai is really large, which we will enjoy.” The Neers will be moving from a smaller condo, so they are looking forward to the extra space in The Marina.

“We got fortunate with our apartment home, as it will be on the top floor,” says Fred. “And as Tricia said, we have a gorgeous lanai. And the way the lanai is shaped, we’ll have one seating area and one dining area.”

Amenities, location, and more

Fred and Tricia especially love how Siena Lakes will have the restaurants, amenities, and services all in one place that is conveniently accessible. They say they wish they could move in today; luckily, the Siena Lakes sales team has organized social events and learning experiences. “We’ve met a lot of people at these events,” says Fred. “It’s a very friendly group, and we’re sure we’ll establish great relationships there.

“I am looking forward to yoga and water aerobics, and the pool rendering looks very inviting,” he adds. “Plus, when we were up in the Charlotte area, we visited Windsor Run, an Erickson community in North Carolina, and the staff provided us lunch, so we know Siena Lakes will have excellent food.”

The couple is also looking forward to maintenance-free living, the location, and the community-feel that Siena Lakes will provide.

Because they have lived in the area for about 15 years, they are already familiar with all of the nearby attractions—beaches, theater, shopping areas—so there will always be plenty to do when they choose to go off campus.

A valuable decision

“We highly recommend Siena Lakes to anyone who is reading this, and our advice is to not wait to make the move,” says Fred. “The sales team does a great job of keeping us coming back. We even drive by once a week to see how it is growing and to take photos.”

“Our friends who live in other Erickson communities promised a lot, and the Siena Lakes staff has surely delivered,” says Tricia. “They’re all funny, professional, welcoming—overall a great staff.”
