When Dan and Marge Barbeau decided to move back north from Sarasota, Fla., friends told them Erickson Living’s retirement communities were the best by far. 

As they searched online for a place near family in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the couple discovered Ann’s Choice, Erickson Living’s retirement community in Bucks County, Pa.

Harry and Rosemary Beam went on Ann’s Choice’s Panama Canal cruise this year. On the trip, Harry captured the photo that appears in the issue of the Tribune he’s holding.

Wherever Harry Beam goes at Ann’s Choice, his camera goes too. 

Harry isn’t a professional photographer, nor is photography his hobby. He simply delights in creating visual journals of his life.

With more than 150 campus activities and special interest groups, Ann’s Choice, Erickson Living’s retirement community in Bucks County, Pa., offers a world of possibilities to people who live there.

Some community members pursue interests they’ve always enjoyed.

Herb Siegel’s search for a retirement community began in response to his daughters’ and granddaughters’ concerns about him rattling around alone in his large four-bedroom, three-bath house situated on a large property in Huntington Valley, Pa.

Las July, Elaine and Karl Vonder Schmalz joined Ann’s Choice’s priority list and reserved their future apartment home, a two-bedroom Fairmont floor plan.

They aimed to move before winter from their five-bedroom house in Southampton, Pa., to Erickson Living’s retirement community just ten minutes away in Bucks County.

Most retirement communities provide clubs and activities to participate in, but one community takes it a step further.

Ann’s Choice, Erickson Living’s retirement community in Bucks County, Pa., inspires its residents to dream big. “They encourage us to think up good ideas,” says Edie Krieger. “Then they support us to make those ideas happen.”

With his beard and stovepipe hat, it’s not too difficult to envision Ann’s Choice resident and Lincoln reenactor Fred Antil as the sixteenth president.

People who live at Ann’s Choice, Erickson Living’s retirement community in Bucks County, Pa., spend little time lounging in their apartment homes. More than 150 clubs, special interest groups, and events vie for their time.

Nell has no children, but her niece Susan, with whom she’s very close, lives in Ambler, Pa., near Ann’s Choice.

The past few months have been busy ones for members of the Apple/Mac computer group at Ann’s Choice, Erickson Living’s retirement community in Bucks County, Pa.

As community members shifted from desktops to laptops to mobile Apple devices, the group’s focus has shifted too. These days that means iPads and iPhones.
