For the fifth consecutive year, the continuing care neighborhood at Ann’s Choice, Erickson Living’s independent living retirement community in Bucks County, Pa., has been awarded a “Best Nursing Home” rating from U.S. News & World Report.

After touring several apartment styles at Ann’s Choice, Erickson Living’s senior living community in Bucks County, Pa., priority list members Merilyn and Ken Kastle found themselves drawn to the Jackson floor plan, a large two-bedroom, two-bath, corner apartment home.

When Gary and Mary Ann Weisser moved to Ann’s Choice two years ago, “I saw the art gallery,” Mary Ann says. “I contacted the women who manage it, asked if they exhibit art by residents, and invited them to come to our apartment to see some of my work.”

Physical fitness is a priority for Terry McManus, who lives at Ann’s Choice. Here she works out on a stationary bike in the campus fitness center.

“It’s easy to decide to become more physically active,” says Beth Mueller. “Then it snows.”

Ann’s Choice Sales Counselor Ryan Doherty and Sales Associate Ryan Kroll have more in common than their names and where they work. Each met his future wife when he was working in the dining services department at Erickson Living’s continuing care retirement community in Bucks County, Pa.

In their home at Ann’s Choice, Marcia and Lou Bower display some of the many hobbies they pursue.

Marcia and Lou Bower decided to move to a retirement community when their four-bedroom Colonial house and large yard in Langhorne, Pa., became too big for two people but still demanded ongoing care and upkeep. 

They wanted something smaller but not a condominium or an over-55 community. “We didn’t want to move twice,” says Marcia.

Because their daughter Marty (center) manages one of the restaurants at Ann’s Choice, community members Fred and Beth Garofalo enjoy the priceless gift of seeing her every day.
