In recent years, Fox Run has become so popular with local retirees that the community has been completely sold out. In response to high demand, management at the Erickson Living community in Novi, Mich., decided to construct a new residence building.

Most of us are pretty happy if we receive a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day. But the people living at Fox Run got to indulge in an entire chocolate-centered meal, complete with a dazzling dessert buffet.

A little over a year ago, Tom and Robin Collins decided they wanted to sell their Shelby Township, Mich., house to move to Fox Run, an Erickson Living community in Novi, Mich. The couple knew they wanted to live at Fox Run because they had been visiting relatives who lived there for a few years.

You’d be surprised to learn that Geri Angel says she used to be shy and quiet if you saw her, video camera in hand, interviewing residents and staff members at Fox Run, the Erickson Living community that she calls home.

Doreen Poupard is no stranger to being involved in her community. She spent her career working for the Ann Arbor Public School System, where she served as assistant superintendent from 1985–1999. Now retired, Doreen serves on the Novi City Council for Novi, Mich.
