Spring is in the air at Greenspring, an Erickson Living community in Springfield, Va. As the beautiful, 58-acre campus begins to bloom, many residents take advantage of numerous outdoor activities, including long walks on the Accotink Trail, a friendly game of pickleball, or miniature yacht racing on the pond.

In a recent class, Executive Chef José Montanez taught participants how to create a fresh tomato sauce, spiced green beans, and pasta salad.

The dining services staff at Greenspring, an Erickson Living community in Springfield, Va., is dedicated to serving delicious and healthy meal options to community members daily.

Greenspring’s “Live the Life” suite allows priority list members to stay on campus and experience all the community offers, such as dining with residents and sampling the myriad activities.

“I’m so glad I joined the Greenspring priority list,” says Betty Van Matre, who moved to the sought-after Springfield, Va., community last August. “During my time as a priority list member, I attended many informational open houses and met with staff members.

Each January, fitness centers and gyms across the country reach record attendance as visitors hope to keep the No. 1 New Year’s resolution—getting physically fit.

January is one of the busiest times of the year for Greenspring Sales Counselor Sheila Willing. 

“Many people look at the start of the New Year as a time to make important resolutions,” she says. “For the many people we meet, moving to Greenspring in 2018 tops the resolution list.”

Janet and Steve Arpee used Erickson Realty and Moving Services to help them relocate to Northern Virginia to be closer to their sons and grandchildren.

For the last 30 years, Steve and Janet Arpee lived in their home in Washington, D.C., taking full advantage of city living. However, last summer, the couple realized that city living was becoming more burdensome than adventurous.
