Maris Grove’s annual Follies production doesn’t come with a money-back guarantee. But then, it doesn’t need one. 

The  spring talent show in Maris Grove’s Cardinal Theater offers entertainment that puts smiles on the audience’s faces and songs in their hearts. It’s a resident-run event that always plays to rave reviews.

The toughest part of a gym workout is motivating yourself to get in the car and drive to the gym. For those who live at Erickson Living’s retirement community in Delaware County, Pa., however, a gym is as close as a walk down the hall.

Maris Grove’s Larry Shenk was inducted into the Delaware Sports Museum and Hall of Fame on May 22. The honor is one of many Larry has received during his long career in baseball.

Community Resources Manager Sally Christy estimates that more than 450 residents volunteer somewhere, which equates to more than 25 % of Maris Grove’s population.

“I look at those years as a new phase of life, a new beginning,” Raina says.

When Joanne Lennon moved from her large house of 51 years in Media, Pa., to Maris Grove, Erickson Living’s retirement community in Delaware County, life got better. 

Joanne sold her house last May and spent the summer at her home on the Jersey Shore. She moved to Maris Grove in September, happy to begin living maintenance-free.

Fast friends since middle school, Bob Crowther and Charlie Barr now are neighbors at Maris Grove, Erickson Living’s retirement community in Delaware County, Pa. 

Bob and his wife Pat, and Charlie and his wife Eleanor, moved last summer when Maris Grove opened Redwood Commons, its third neighborhood.

Dot and Ron Baughman’s apartment home at Maris Grove provides an eat-in kitchen and features the white cabinets and appliances that Dot wanted.

She wanted an all-white kitchen. He wanted a garage.

When they moved to Maris Grove, an Erickson Living community in Delaware County, Pa., from a 55-plus community in nearby Garnet Valley, Dot and Ron Baughman each got what they wanted.

Well-planned home

In their “cook’s kitchen” at Maris Grove, Carole and Dennis Swartz display some of the jams and jellies they made and sold at church fairs in Cape Cod.

For Carole and Dennis Swartz, moving last summer from Cape Cod to Maris Grove, Erickson Living’s continuing care retirement community in Delaware County, Pa., made perfect sense.

Because Carole had developed vision problems, the move represented planning for the future.
