Charlestown
Mary McHale moved into her one-bedroom Brighton apartment home at Charlestown in 2019 in search of a maintenance-free lifestyle. She's seen here, wearing a pink sweater, standing in front of a refrigerator covered with magnets.

Has the house you once adored become more of a headache? Have you grown tired of cleaning and heating an oversized house when you’re only using two or three rooms? Are you living alone and having a hard time meeting people who share your same hobbies and interests?

Brooksby Village
Dorothy Stephens, who lives at Brooksby Village, is pictured here smiling in a pair of black glasses, pearls, and a black cardigan over a lavender sweater.

A new book release is exhilarating for any author, but for Dorothy Stephens, the past few months have been twice as exciting.

Dorothy, who lives at Brooksby Village, the community developed and managed by Erickson Living in Peabody, Mass., released two books within weeks of each other.

Ann's Choice
Trudy Sellers is pictured here in her home at Ann's Choice. Trudy wears glasses and red top, with a golden broach on her left shoulder.

Trudy Sellers is upbeat, charming, and very busy. Her lilting German accent punctuates her conversation. From her sunny attitude, you’d never suspect how painful her childhood was. Like so many of her compatriots born before or during WWII, her life was filled with trauma.

“Knowing that continuing care will be available at Windsor Run was a real plus when making our independent living decision,” says community member Robert Mercer. “My wife and I both remember struggling with geographical displacement matters when assisting with care for our own parents.
