Wind Crest Starts Construction of Two Additional Residence Buildings

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (April 14, 2014) - Wind Crest retirement today began construction of two additional residence buildings  on its 84-acre campus. This $30 million expansion will include an additional 105 apartment homes, a library, a second fitness center, a 240-seat auditorium, a banquet room, and two additional restaurants.  Apartments will range in size from one bedrooms starting at 800 square feet, to the largest luxury apartments at 2,000 square feet.  The architect is JHP, which is  based in Dallas, Texas. Wind Crest Residents Knit Hats Year-Round for Patients at Children's Hospitals

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (March 25, 2014) - Members of Wind Crest retirement community's Women's Club this week delivered 30 hats they knitted to Highlands Ranch Children's Hospital for cancer patients ages 12 and younger. The 25 women  - in addition to other Wind Crest residents who are not members of the Women' Club - have been knitting hats on a volunteer basis for the past two years. HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (January 16, 2014) - Wind Crest  retirement community in Highlands Ranch, CO, marked a 5 percent increase in settlements of apartment homes for yearend 2013. As a result, Wind Crest  today is at an all-time high of 99 percent occupancy. In addition, a total of 93 people reserved apartment homes in 2013, compared to 90 the prior year. HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (January 28, 2014) - Wind Crest retirement community resident Jean Rene Champion was a tank commander in the Free French Army during WWII who did something unusual on May 8, 1945 when Allied forces formally accepted the surrender of Nazi Germany. He celebrated VE Day by going to Hitler's mountain home in Berchtesgaden and drinking Hitler's champagne.  "It was unusually delicious," he said.
