Wind Crest Announces “Colorado Expansion” to Meet Demand for Active Senior Living

September 4, 2019

Wind Crest, a continuing care retirement community developed and managed by Erickson Living in Highlands Ranch, Colo., recently announced an expansion of its Colorado neighborhood, featuring two brand-new residence buildings. This continued growth, combined with the addition of Prospect Crossing, an independent living building which opened in the spring of 2019, makes Wind Crest one of the largest developing continuing care retirement communities in the Denver area.

Summit Square is the first new building, scheduled to open during the summer of 2020, followed by Quincy Point, in the fall. Together, these two independent living buildings will add more than 200 maintenance-free apartment homes to Wind Crest, plus incredible new amenity spaces. Featuring 20 unique floor plans, including four brand-new designs, these new apartment homes will include contemporary lighting and flooring, modern kitchens and elegant finishes throughout.

"Driven by the increasing demand for the active, engaged retirement lifestyle that Wind Crest offers, this expansion of our Colorado neighborhood has been designed with the modern senior in mind," said Krista Wagner, Director of Sales. "Input from current and prospective residents has been a critical element in the planning of both Summit Square and Quincy Point to create the best in beautiful, comfortable living spaces and convenient amenities."

Residents of the Colorado neighborhood will enjoy more than 18,000 square feet of amenity space, including a landscaped courtyard with bocce ball courts and walking paths, the all-new Carter's restaurant featuring both indoor and patio dining, a modern tapas-style Bistro, classroom and cards room, creative arts studio and the community's second fitness center. They will also have access to an array of amenities and services throughout the entire Wind Crest campus.

"Prospect Crossing, the first building in the Colorado neighborhood, has been immensely popular since it opened earlier this year," said Wagner. "We look forward to welcoming even more new members to our community in 2020 and helping them make the most of their retirement years."

Wind Crest is a not-for-profit organization, developed and managed by Erickson Living®. The community is governed by its own board of directors affiliated with National Senior Campuses, who provide independent financial and operational oversight of the community.
