Wind Crest Halloween Costume and Pumpkin Contest Raises $400 for Staff Appreciation Fund

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (November 1, 2016) – A staff-resident Halloween Costume and Pumpkin Contest raised $400 for Wind Crest retirement community’s Staff Appreciation Fund that thanks hourly employees for their exemplary work.

Housekeeping's "Peanuts Pumpkin Patch"  took the First Place Award from among 25 pumpkins entered. They were judged by Karla Norvell, Philanthropy Coordinator, resident Jerry Nelson, and resident Sheila Haskell. Jennifer Anderson of Sales and Marketing emceed the event held in the Fireside Lounge and attended by about 100 people.

Marilyn Haines' "Scarecrow won for Best Staff Costume. Resident Dick Quierolo's "Donald Trump" won for Best Resident Costume.

Best Department Costume honor went to the General Services team for its "Wind Crest Grounds."

“Richard Simmons” (aka Andy Johanessman) and crew – the Resident Life staff dressed in 1980s garb -- danced up a sweat.
