Miriam Travis, who moved to Ann's Choice in 2014, credits the community's helpful and friendly staff for her peace of mind.

"The employees here take good care of us. They go out of their way to assist us in any way possible," says Miriam. "That's a true testament to the quality of life at Ann's Choice."

Developing friendships with neighbors through clubs and activities on campus has also contributed to her rewarding retirement at Ann's Choice. 

A few years ago, Miriam was elected as chair of the Resident Advisory Council, which partners with community leaders to ensure all residents' needs and wants are met. 

"I made it my personal mission to help as many residents as possible," she recalls, "but that's always been a goal of mine--to help at least one person. I've found my niche here. And I've helped many, many people!"

"I enjoy visiting the fitness center. You can go any hour, day or night; it's always open," she says. "And there's an indoor pool, which is very nice. Physical activity is extremely important to me, so I love having so many fitness options on campus."

"It's great," she says. "We enjoy exploring close to home, finding new restaurants and shopping destinations nearby--when we're not busy on campus."

Like Miriam, Margaret and George have made many new connections at Ann's Choice. 

"It was easy to make new friends," notes Margaret. "Everyone, from staff to residents, is very nice. We look forward to interacting with the young staff members at our restaurants more in 2024. We really get to know these young people--some finishing high school, others in college. They're all interested in our stories, and we're interested in their lives."

With a comfortable living space, family nearby, and new meaningful relationships, the Hansells are poised to make 2024 their best year yet.
