4/22: Residents to Host Earth Day Event

HOUSTON, TX---Where would you find a community of adults that recycles over 62 tons of paper annually, holds electronic recycling drives, utilizes CFL bulbs in its campus buildings and provides its residents the option to receive correspondence electronically?
A college campus?  Maybe.
Eagle's Trace retirement community in Houston?  Absolutely.
The residents of the Erickson Living retirement community will raise awareness and show that "Going Green" is a lifestyle with its annual Earth Day Recycle and Donate event on Monday, April 22nd from 9am-11am.
Residents and visitors will enjoy the opportunity to recycle a variety of products, including paper, large & small electronics, medical items, chemicals and clothing (for donation).
A recycling truck will be on campus along with a hybrid vehicle demonstration.
Notably, residents of Eagle's Trace have partnered with students of the Big Little School in Houston.  Elementary students have made Earth Day-themed posters for the event, and students will be bringing items to recycle from a drive held at Big Little School on April 15th.
