Eagle’s Trace Residents Receive Houston Election Preview

September 24, 2015
Houston, TX—While the 2016 presidential campaign is already in full gear, residents of Eagle's Trace are keeping their attention focused on November 3.

That is the date of the City of Houston general election.  To stay informed, the resident-led Government Affairs Group of the Erickson Living retirement community hosted Precinct 461 Chair Nancy Scott for an informational session on September 18.

Ms. Scott gave a synopsis of non-officeholder issues that will be considered by voters, including state constitutional & charter amendments and local propositions, to over 75 residents in attendance.

Marilyn Black serves as the Chairman of the Government Affairs Group at Eagle's Trace.

"We appreciate the time that Ms. Scott took to provide information on the upcoming general election.  While the campaigns for mayor and city council receive much attention, it was very valuable to learn more about the issues and proposition questions," stated Ms. Black.  "Additionally, our group looks forward to meeting the new officeholders after the election."

Following the presentation of Ms. Scott, residents had the opportunity to ask questions, register to vote and submit applications to vote by mail.

September 22 was National Voter Registration Day.
