Riderwood's 1st Peep Show Winners Are Announced:
"Movie Night" and "Before Riderwood/Living the Good Life at Riderwood" Take Home the Peeps (er, Honors)
Silver Spring, MD (April 13, 2012) - The votes are in and the winning displays in Riderwood retirement community's 1st Peep Show are: "Movie Night" by the Renaissance Gardens extended care staff and "Before Life at Riderwood/Living the Good Life at Riderwood" by the Community Resources and Wellness staff (see attached photos).
The Peep Show invited staff members to take their favorite candy - Peeps - and turn them into art. Departmental teams created all sorts of art using Peeps candies based on something that happened at Riderwood in the past year, everything from cultural events, technology, fitness programs, Wildlife Habitat work, movies, and more. Each participating departments created their art from Peep Kits of 10 packages of peeps.
The winning Peeps displays were selected from among 13 entries to the three-week Peep Show held on Riderwood's 120-acre campus in Silver Spring, MD. "Movie Night" won the popular People's Choice Award while "Before Life at Riderwood/Living the Good Life at Riderwood" won the prestigious Judges Award. Judging the contest were Linda Carey, Pastoral Associate, and residents Lesley Easton and John Teti.
"Movie Night" was designed and produced by Robin Arnicar, Carrie Rogers, MaryAnn Ingram, Brandon Jordan, Pauline Fraser, Derrick Harrigan, Sharon Flowers-Williams, and Noel Vasquez with special thanks to Adam Dickson and Jason Boyle.
"Before Life at Riderwood/Living the Good Life at Riderwood" was designed and produced by Nancy Welsh, Karen Spicer, Tracy Fowlkes and residents Trudy Downs and Levern Allen.
The Peep Show was sponsored by the Riderwood's Human Resources Department. Winners received a huge basket of candy and free lunch courtesy of the Human Resources Department.
NOTE: NO PEEPS WERE HARMED IN PRODUCING THE AWARD WINNING DISPLAYS.
