The Tallgrass Creek Executive Team

These individuals handle the day-to-day operations of Tallgrass Creek.

Jean Landreville, Executive Director

Jean Landreville joined the Tallgrass Creek executive team as the executive director in February 2015. Previously, she was the executive director at Erickson Living's Greenspring community, the associate executive director at Erickson Living's Riderwood campus, and the assistant executive director and continuing care administrator at Erickson Living's Fox Run community.

Prior to joining Erickson Living, Jean was the nursing home administrator at Detroit Medical Center and Mercy Memorial Hospital. She is a licensed nursing home administrator. Jean holds a bachelor's degree in general dietetics from Madonna University and a master's degree from the Erickson School of management of Aging Services at the University of Maryland.

Ben Ross, L.N.H.A., Continuing Care Administrator

Ben Ross began at Tallgrass Creek in August 2018. Ben formerly worked for Sunrise Senior Living  and has experience in all areas of senior living. Ben is a graduate of Kansas State University with degrees in biology and gerontology. During his senior year in college, Ben discovered retirement communities and fell in love with working with seniors.

Blake Marshall, Director of Sales

Blake began his career with Erickson Living as an operations associate at Eagle’s Trace in Houston, Texas. After a year, Blake moved to Wind Crest, another Erickson Living campus, in Denver, Colorado, where he worked as a sales associate and later as sales manager. He moved to Kansas City in June of 2015 and says he is excited to be living in the “heart of America.” Blake holds a bachelor of business administration from Texas A&M University. He has relocated for Erickson Living several times because he has seen the difference the Erickson lifestyle makes to the hundreds of residents he has helped move to a community, and more personally, with his Grandma, who also calls an Erickson Living campus her home.

Lynn Schaffer, Director of Finance

Lynn Schaffer joined the Tallgrass Creek team in August 2013. Lynn is responsible for the financial reporting and forecasting of the community, development of the operations budget, resident billings, and audit support. She also provides financial training, support to all departments, and assists with strategic planning. Lynn brings nearly 15 years of experience from the telecommunications and financial services industries. Prior to joining Tallgrass Creek, Lynn was controller of SKC Communication Products, LLC, in Shawnee, Kansas. Prior to SKC, Lynn was CFO and Controller for Advance Mortgage Corporation and held various finance positions with H&R Block and Sprint. Lynn graduated with honors receiving a bachelor of science degree in accounting from DeVry University.

Daniel Stapf, Director of General Services

Daniel began his career in 1998 as an employee at Charlestown, Erickson Living's flagship community in Catonsville, Maryland, where he held positions in the community television studio and in project and facility management. After spending some time at Retirement Living TV, Daniel came to Tallgrass Creek in 2008 to manage the maintenance and grounds departments. Since then, Daniel has expanded his role to director of general services. Daniel holds a bachelor's degree in television production. He lives in Olathe, Kansas, with his wife and two sons.

Rebecca Stegmaier, Human Resources Director

Becky Stegmaier joined Tallgrass Creek in April 2018. For the past 10 years, Becky served as the human resources manager for Diodes, a semiconductor manufacturer, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in political science and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in human resources management from Park University.

Janel Southard, Practice Administrator

Prior to joining Tallgrass Creek in May 2017, Janel Southard managed the internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatric clinics at The University of Kansas Hospital at KU MedWest. She also previously held the position of practice manager of Saint Luke’s Neurosurgery Clinic. Janel obtained her bachelor of science degree in clinical psychology from The University of Kansas.

Eldwin Dunn, D.O., Medical Director

Dr. Eldwin Dunn joined Tallgrass Creek in November 2017. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Oral Roberts University and his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Kansas Medical Center and previously practiced at Olathe Health System, Inc. Dr. Dunn is board-certified in internal medicine.

Kera Snyder, R.N., B.S.N., Nursing Director

Kera Snyder joined Tallgrass Creek in May 2015. She brings 12 years of nursing experience and leadership. In 2010, she became a certified director of nursing through the National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration for Long-Term Care. Kera holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and is currently working toward her master’s degree, also in nursing. She has worked in many health care settings, including primary care, hospital acute care, and medical/surgical care.

Janette Magee, Resident Life Manager

Jan Magee joined Tallgrass Creek in March 2014. She is a licensed social worker in the state of Kansas and was previously a manager at Kansas City Hospice. Jan has more than 25 years of experience in the health care field working at Overland Park Regional Hospital, acute rehabilitation centers, and hospice. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Kansas.
