Offering Independent Living and Continuing Care in Denver

As a continuing care retirement community, Wind Crest offers both independent living and additional levels of care, including assisted living and short-term rehabilitation. Everything is located right here on our 84-acre campus in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.

What’s the difference between independent living and continuing care?

Independent Living

Many of the people who live at Wind Crest say they’re even more independent today. Instead of worrying about house repairs and maintenance, they devote more time to friends and family. Instead of scraping ice and shoveling snow, they sit back, relax, and let Wind Crest do the work.

With more than 100 clubs and activities, there’s always something new and exciting to enjoy. No matter what the weather, you can swim, exercise, visit the on-site doctor, and even dine with friends in our on-site restaurants.

Located on 84 acres in Highlands Ranch, CO, our campus includes miles of walking paths, gardens, a putting green, horseshoe pit, and convenient access to the Highline Canal nature trail. Enjoy a summer barbecue on the outdoor patio in either neighborhood. In winter, take a dip in the heated pool while you watch the snow fall.

As an independent living resident, you’ll also have access to the on-site medical center, plus in-home care through certified home health or a private duty nurse.

If something happens to me and I no longer can live independently...there’s a place right across the campus where I can go for whatever needs that I have.

Continuing Care

Should you require additional care while living at Wind Crest, you can make the transition to our on-site continuing care neighborhood, Mill Vista Lodge. However, you don’t have to be a current resident to come here. The continuing care neighborhood accepts qualified seniors age 62-plus.

Here, you’ll find multiple levels of care to meet your needs, including assisted living, long-term nursing care, short-term rehabilitation, and memory care.

Designed with your comfort in mind, the neighborhood is warm and homelike with several dining venues and “living rooms” for socializing. The compassionate team works with you one-on-one to understand your spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.

Mill Vista Lodge combines state-of-the-art technology with personalized care and hospitality. We treat you like the unique individual that you are.
